Der Ortskern sollte eine Begegnungszone mit einladender Gestaltung und mehr Flächen für Fussgänger, Sitzbänken und neuen Bäumen werden.
Die CREABETON durfte für diese Neugestaltung 12 Stück COPAL® QUADRO und 6 Stück COPAL® CUPOLA liefern. Letztere allerdings als Sonderanfertigung.
Als bei CREABETON die Anfrage nach einer Sonderanfertigung von Baumwurzelschutzelementen einging, war zu Beginn noch unklar, um welche Sonderanfertigung es sich handeln sollte, es lagen noch keine Pläne vor. Bei der anschliessenden Machbarkeitsstudie mit dem Landschaftsarchitekten ging die CREABETON schnell auf die Wünsche ein und es wurde kurzerhand die passende Lösung gefunden.
Ästhetisch ansprechender Baumwurzelraumschutz
Bei der Sonderanfertigung der Baumwurzelraumschutze standen vor allem optische Gründe im Vordergrund. So ist an der Oberfläche kein grosser Betonrand sichtbar. Ausserdem wurden sie so gestaltet und konstruiert, dass ein dünnes Metallband den Deckel umfasst, darunter aber eine normale Baumgrube vorhanden ist.
Inzwischen wurden die Baumwurzelraumschutze geliefert und 18 Bäume können sich über mehr Platz für ihre Wurzeln, ideales Wachstum und Gedeihen freuen. In der Stadt, als Lebens- und Erholungsraum, beeinflussen Bäume das Wohlbefinden der Menschen positiv. Ziel ist es, lebensfähige Bäume mit minimalem Verlust an Nutzfläche effizient und dauerhaft in den urbanen Raum zu integrieren. Ein weiterer Beitrag zum städteplanerischen Konzept Schwammstadt und somit ein wichtiger Schritt in Richtung klimabewusstes Bauen.
